Greater Shepparton Visitor Centre is one of the 15 premium TAC Pause Stop locations. The TAC Pause Stop initiative aims to reduce driver fatigue on long journeys by encouraging road users to plan ahead, pull over, and recharge.

There are more than 60 places to pause from the road across Victoria during key holiday periods. Visit the TAC Pause Stop website to access their interactive map to find a Pause Stop and plan your journey now.  You can make a stop at an accredited Visitor Information Centre part of your travels at any time of year, Centre's offer varying facilities, information and services to help you take a break and prepare your onward travels.

Handy Guides whilst Travelling

Travelling from the North (A39)

Shepparton is approximately 1 hour 40 minutes south of Jerilderie along the Newell Highway.

Travelling from the South (A39)

Shepparton is approximately 2 hours north of Melbourne on the Goulburn Valley Highway. 

Travelling from the East (A300)

Shepparton is approximately 2 hours south west of Wodonga on the Midland Highway, or 45 minutes from Benalla. 

Take the scenic route and travel via Dookie.

Travelling from the West (A300)

Shepparton is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes north east of Bendigo on the Midland Highway.

Murchison is also a great spot to stop if you travel the C345 Bendigo-Murchison Road, via Colbinabbin. Taking in the silo art along the way.
