Postcards: Exploring Shepparton & Goulburn Valley with Brodie Harper

Channel Nine's Postcards program recently shone a spotlight on the charming town of Shepparton, as presenter Brodie Harper embarked on a delightful journey through Shepparton & Goulburn Valley.

Amidst the picturesque landscapes and vibrant community, Brodie's visit was a testament to the rich tapestry of experiences awaiting visitors in Shepparton.

One of the highlights of Brodie's trip was sitting down with Gobie at The Last Straw Thai restaurant, where she indulged in a culinary adventure that tantalized her taste buds. From the fragrant aromas of Thai spices to the fresh roasted coffee, The Last Straw offered a dining experience that left a lasting impression.

But Shepparton isn't just a haven for food enthusiasts; it's also a paradise for art aficionados. Brodie had the opportunity to immerse herself in the whimsical world of Moooving Art, where she encountered a delightful array of life sized 3D cow sculptures creatively decorated by local artists. Each sculpture told its own unique story.

Brodie also wandered the streets taking in the Aboriginal Street Art Project and connecting to our rich cultural history.

No visit to Shepparton would be complete without a trip to the Shepparton Art Museum, and Brodie made sure to explore the captivating gallery spaces with SAM CEO Melinda Martin. From the Children's Gallery 'Face in the Frame' to New York Photographer Ryan McGinley's 'Yearbook' and 'The Land us Us: Stories, Place and Connection - Artworks from the NGV Collection'. Brodie's visit offered a glimpse into the rich artistic heritage of the region, showcasing both local and international works of art.

As Brodie's journey through Shepparton unfolded on national television, viewers were treated to a glimpse of the town's hidden gems and vibrant spirit. From its culinary delights to its artistic treasures, Shepparton proved to be a destination worthy of exploration.
