The multi-cultural team of chefs at The Milkbar have created a globally inspired menu that’s a food festival and feast for your eyes. The Milkbar might pay homage to its history by name, but the menu is unlike anything this iconic location has served before.
The Japanese inspired poke bowl is served with either Teriyaki salmon, chicken or tofu. This kaleidoscopic bowl is a delicious blend of edamame, pickled cucumber, carrot and ginger, brown rice and quinoa.
These juicy pulled-pork tacos are made with slow cooked pork shoulder with a smoked paprika rub, charred pineapple salsa and served on a corn tortilla. This traditional South American dish blends secret spices and fresh coriander for a fragrant taste sensation.
The Belgian waffle, a sugary and perfumed flavour bomb! Served with local apple puree, burnt banana, ice-cream and meringue. The golden-brown waffles are soaked in sweet caramel, topped with cleansing berries. Enjoy it as an indulgent breakfast or treat any time of the day.
If you prefer your martini shaken, not stirred, then you should definitely order your avo whacked, not smashed. The Milkbar's Whacked Avo is served on house made sourdough, with Dookie poached eggs, goats cheese, cherry tomatoes, radish, pea shoots and sorrel picked fresh from their kitchen garden. It’s topped with crunchy pepitas that have been soaked in soy sauce and lightly toasted.
