Shepparton Railway Station offers V/Line train and bus services to Southern Cross Station in Melbourne every day of the week, along with bus connections to various regional towns across Victoria and New South Wales. Shepparton station operates on paper or eTickets.
Shepparton Railway Station operates outside of the myki boundary. Seymour and Bendigo are the closest locations for regional customers to buy a pre-loaded myki card from a staffed V/Line station, alternatively you can purchase them from a myki machine or 7-Eleven stores within the myki boundary, or through the PTV app or with Mobile myki. The most direct route from Shepparton Train Station to the Visitor Centre and SAM Precinct is along Purcell Street, Hayes Street, and Victoria Park Lake along Wyndham Street.

Please note: From April - mid 2026, roadworks are being undertaken at the intersection of Wyndham Street and Hayes Street, Shepparton. Which impacts the most direct route on foot. You can follow the similar path, and detour at the Hayes Street / Maude Street intersection. Or alternatively from the Train Station you can turn left and head along Purcell Street, into St Georges Road and onto High Street. Once you cross the train line you can turn left along Hoskin Street, and follow that to the roundabout (near VicRoads). Turn right at the roundabout and head along Sobroan Street to the KFC/Victoria Park Lake traffic lights. Then enjoy the path along Victoria Park Lake, the Visitor Centre is located at the southern end of the lake.
