Located on the eastern facing wall of the new Foodshare building in Mooroopna, the artwork has transformed a blank wall in the Woolworths and Aldi carpark into a vibrant artwork by local artist Tank featuring blue wrens and native flora.
The mural is Foodshare's gift to our community. After some inspiration from the community and stakeholders the idea for a mural was born.
The huge artwork is the work of talented local artist Tank Art and has been made possible as part of Shepparton Foodshare’s building project funded by the Victorian and Federal governments to construct a new purpose-built food relief warehouse and distribution centre that opened earlier this year.
The design, a Tank original, is vibrant and colourful and thoughtfully considers our natural environment.
With no guaranteed funding to cover all operational costs since inception Foodshare have operated due to extreme community generosity. They are forever grateful for this ongoing support that has kept doors open and providing food to those in our community that need it most.
“This mural is for you to enjoy, our gift to say thank you for your ongoing support.” - The Shepparton Foodshare team.
