Inspired by the local environment and the theme of Earth, Sun and Water the students from Sacred Heart and Tatura Primary composed their mural concepts onto templates which Tatura Artist Rachel Doller then used to put together the final design.
Local artist Rachel Doller collaborated with the Senior students from Sacred Heart and Tatura Primary to design and paint a mural on the new toilet block at Charlie Taylor Park.
Rachel Doller said “I'm so glad to be working on this project together with the students and I am thrilled that I have been able to use the students’ shapes, colours, patterns and drawings in the final design - they all produced some really great concepts!”
The finished product is a mural by Tatura’s young people creating lasting connections to the local environment and the town.
Also at Charlie Taylor Park is the Tatura Collage Columns, a historical community project representing past, resent and future.
