Sustainable Tourism
Travellers are increasingly looking for sustainable experiences, offering benefits to Australian businesses who take advantage of this burgeoning market.
To help businesses capitalise on this opportunity, AusTrade have developed the Sustainable Tourism Toolkit to help give businesses clear and practical assistance to become more sustainable.
This Toolkit was launched in late November by all State and Territory Tourism Ministers as a part of the new National Sustainability Framework for the tourism sector.
The Framework sets out their commitment to advance sustainability in the sector, and our vision for Australia to be a world leader in sustainable tourism.
The Framework is available on the Austrade website here and the Toolkit is available at business.gov.au.
In addition to the Toolkit, Sustainability Storytellers, a free guide to help businesses promote their sustainability credentials, is also now available and can be accessed from the Tourism Australia website.
If you have any questions about the Toolkit or Framework, please don’t hesitate to contact Austrade at VisitorEconomy@austrade.gov.au
