Here in the Shepparton region, there's a significant gap in girls' cricket. Between finishing Milo Blasters at 9 and moving up to Under 16s, girls either play with boys or often leave the sport altogether.
The next opportunity for girls is in women's senior cricket. To address this issue, a committee has been established.
We're organising two Gala days on 13 October and 27 October to promote a female-only competition. These events include a free 'come and try' session with a BBQ, welcoming both newcomers and girls already involved in cricket.
