Short story workshops with 2021 Furphy Literary Award winner Thomas Alan 2021 Furphy Literary Award Winner Thomas Alan leads a series of comprehensive workshops created to help developing writers understand the architecture of Australian short stories.
Harnessing the festival’s theme of ‘THRIVE’, Thomas will help participants craft their own stories and find ideas, creativity, and expression in an informal and supportive setting. Further to this, participants will draw from their ideas and stories to contribute to a large, timber mural that will showcase their works and represent their short stories for years to come. At the conclusion of the workshops, the mural will be presented at La Trobe University Campus.
