The Hunter Boyle Childrens Swim Program was developed in 2021 by Hunters parents, with the support of KidSafe Victoria. This program began after Hunter Boyle, drowned in a dam on August 12, 2020. Hunter was just 2 years old. This program funds swimming lessons and to vulnerable children in the area, who without this funding, may not otherwise be able to access them.
The program also provides scholarships for community members to become certified swimming teachers.
THBCS is not for profit and completely funded, meaning that we rely on our amazing community members to continue running the program.
In April 15th, 2023, we will be holding our very first fundraising gala, with the aim of raising more funding to continue our efforts in making sure that all children have the opportunity to learn how to swim. The night will include a 3 course meal + drinks, entertainment by the fabulous SAM+SAM and an auction with all prizes donated by local businesses.
You can support us in any of the following ways:
Dedicated to Hunter’s love of the moon that he said goodnight to every night before bed, The Night Night Moon Gala Ball will be an evening to support The Hunter Boyle Childrens Swim Program and its mission to provide vital water safety education to children in Shepparton and the Goulburn Valley region.
