In this free workshop session hosted by Rhonda Chrisanthou, Shepparton based textile artist Judith Roberts will present a lively talk and demonstration about her experience as a textile artist working and exhibiting in regional Victoria.
Judith is a member of Shepparton Textile Artists and the founder of Fibre
and Thread. She will present an overview of her textile practice that
incorporates experimentation with materials and innovation in fibre arts.
This includes the use of natural dyes, creative needlework, recycled fabrics
and found objects.
Participants will learn about local networks and creative spaces for textile
arts and enjoy completing an art activity prepared by Judith.
