Teej signifies the metaphor for the excitement, happiness, joys, blessings and expressing sorrow to relieve yourself from obstacles in your life. Teej festival is celebrated by singing, dancing, and dressing up in brightly-coloured clothings. Sharing stories of sadness, success, happiness and aspirations with friends and families by a taste of community cooking. Teej is also a celebration of love, respect and prosperity of a long and firm relationship between husband and wife until eternity. It also signifies the women's resilience and finding strength in community.
