River's Palette - A Watercolour Workshop in Nature

As part of the Shepparton Festival, local Indigenous artist, Chris Walker and RiverConnect invite you to explore creative art techniques while learning about local ecosystems to foster a deeper connection to the land. Dip inspiration from the river water in a guided watercolour workshop in the river environment. Forage nature materials as our art tools, or utilise paintbrushes, your canvas is completely open to your imagination.

Two sessions will be available:

  • 9:30am-11am is open to all ages and
  • 12:30pm-2pm open to young people (12-25 years old).
  • Art materials and tea/coffee/juice will be provided. 

Chris Walker is a proud Yorta Yorta man who works with Greater Shepparton Lighthouse Project and Shepparton Art Museum as a local arts program facilitator, specialising in First Nations public programming. 

RiverConnect is a community partnership project which aims to foster the community's love, respect and connection to the river environment, through engaging events, meaningful projects and a vibrant education program.
