Join Greater Shepparton City Council and Planet Ark to plant local native trees, shrubs and groundcovers for National Tree Day 2022.

On Sunday 31st July, 10am - 12noon, join with Greater Shepparton City Council and Planet Ark to plant various indigenous trees, shrubs, grasses, wildflowers and grasses for National Tree Day 2022.

The theme for this years National Tree Day is 'Connect with Nature', and what better way to do this than to get your hands in the dirt, the sun on your skin, and the sweet smell of newly blooming wattles in your nostrils while planting local indigenous plants back into our landscape.

All planting gear is provided including gloves and tools, but feel free to bring your own favorite pair. Please also wear sturdy footwear and dress to the weather forecast.

Free BBQ lunch will be provided by Shepparton Lions Club, including meat sausages and veggie sausages. Toilets will also be on site, including one disability access toilet.

Disability parking is available, as are some tools that may assist those who are unable to kneel on the ground to plant, and planting space which is a short walk from your car park.
