International Women’s Day 2025 – Celebrate with free community events

Greater Shepparton City Council invites you to celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025, with a series of free events that bring people together to recognise the achievements of women and promote inclusivity and wellbeing.

This year’s theme, Accelerate Action, encourages us all to work towards meaningful change and equality.

Free Community Events

Come along and enjoy a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere at our free events on Saturday 8 March 2025:

  • Yoga in the Park – Start your morning with a refreshing yoga session at 8.30am in Queens Gardens
  • Scones in the Park – Enjoy a delicious morning tea at 9.30am in Queens Gardens
  • Salsa in the Park – Dance your way into the evening at 4.00pm at Victoria Park Lake

These events are a great way to connect with others, unwind, and celebrate the incredible contributions of women in our community.

Local Initiatives

Council is proud to support local organisations through the International Women’s Day Grants Program, helping to fund events that bring people together to celebrate women’s achievements.

Please note: There are fees for these events and registrations are essential.

Financial Wellbeing for Women

The Women’s Charter Advisory Committee is hosting a financial literacy session designed to give women the tools and knowledge to take control of their finances. This session will cover budgeting, managing expenses, and banking basics.
