Get outside and creative with SAM these school holidays! Kids can drop into half-hour sessions led by artist Miranda Sofroniou throughout the morning, as she demonstrates how to depict nature using watercolour painting. Parents and carers are encouraged to participate in this fun outdoor workshop. All materials provided.
About the artist: Miranda Sofroniou is a British Illustrator living in Melbourne, Australia.
Taking inspiration from travel and nature she creates rich and colourful illustrations by hand, pairing loose brushstrokes with abundant detail. Using traditional painting techniques; mixing gouache, watercolour and acrylic to bring the image to life. Aiming to evoke a sense of exploration and wonder she creates whimsical, narrative worlds that invite the audience inside.
