DRUMBEAT is an acronym for Discovering Relationships Using Music, Beliefs, Emotions, Attitudes, and Thoughts. It is a therapeutic intervention for people who are experiencing strong emotions and thoughts.
This session is for women who have experienced family violence. It will help improve your mental wellbeing, increase your self-esteem, reduce stress levels and build your communication and teamwork skills.
Drumbeat reflects and educates: Positive communication; Healthy relationships; Respect for people and property (drums); Active listening;
Imagination growth; Goal setting; Our own responsibilities; Managing our behaviour; Reading our emotions (anger); Social awareness and responsibilities; but most of all - HAVE FUN!
This session is offered to the Greater Shepparton City community as part of the 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence campaign.
