The Converge on the Goulburn Festival is back in 2026! This family friendly event provides an opportunity for cross-cultural sharing, connection for the community, and celebrating all that is great about our region!
Held at the stunning Victoria Park Lake precinct in Shepparton, this event will feature music and dance, authentic cultural and culinary delights, and interactive activities and workshops for all ages.
This is a free, fun, family friendly event. There will be no consumption of alcohol within the event facility. A range of free activities and workshops will be available on the day.

Kids Scavenger Hunt from 2pm-9pm
Visit the Council Marquee to join the Converge Scavenger Hunt.
There are several places you need to visit, and activities to do, and then you can go into the draw to win 1 of 10 prizes.
Make sure you get a stamp once you complete each activity.
A winner will be drawn every hour, so visit to the Council marquee to find out how to participate.
Stand Up Paddle Boarding and Pedal Boats on the Lake (paid activity).
Stand Up Paddle Boarding: $10 for 30 minutes
Pedal Boats (seats 2) - $20 for 30 minutes
Located at the Shepparton Canoe Club, approximately 800m from main event site. Ample parking nearby.
All ages welcome. No experience needed – just the ability to swim confidently. Individuals 8 and under must be accompanied by an Adult.

Accessibility and further information
The Open Grassed Space event site at Victoria Park Lake has sealed path access around the outside of the event site. The remainder of the surfaces being used for the event are grassed.
There will be an elevated, accessible viewing platform for people with disabilities and their families / friends / carers. This platform is accessible from the South of the Toilet block. The platform has ramps, handrails, lighting, and a marquee for shade.
There will be lots of traffic on Wyndham and Sobraon Streets, and the event site will not be fully fenced. There will be many people during the event, some animals on leads, live music and dance performances on stage, emergency service vehicles, and activities for kids.
There is an all accessible, all gender bathroom on site. In addition, there are male and female toilets in the toilet block.
First aid will be available on site and will be located at the Northeast corner of the event site, next to the entrance archway.
Animals on leads or restrained are welcome at this event. Pet owners are responsible for supervising and cleaning up after their animals.
There will be lots of tables and chairs provided near the Food Vendors as well as some umbrellas providing shade. You can also bring a picnic rug and chairs to sit on to enjoy the day.
This event will be held in all weather conditions. If extreme weather is predicted, a notification will be made in the week leading up to the event.
There will be Council Event’s Staff on site who will be wearing high-vis vests and long sleeve Council shirts. If you need any assistance during the event, please contact a Council staff member or a security guard and we will be happy to help.
