At Converge on the Goulburn, we invite you to be part of our story of how the established and the emerging come together to create a kaleidoscope of experiences.

Move to the music and connect with our community, indulge in authentic cuisines made from the heart with recipes passed down through generations and step into our vibrant cultural marketplace.

Converge is proudly presented by Greater Shepparton City Council and is part of the Shepparton Festival. Be part of the celebrations and discover their captivating program. Stage programming proudly managed by Point of Difference studio.

Converge on the Goulburn is supported by the Victorian Government through the Multicultural Festivals and Events Fund. 

This is a free, fun, family event. There will be no consumption of alcohol within the event facility.

A two-day festival

  • Friday 17 March from 6pm - 9pm
  • Saturday 18 March from 4pm - 10pm

Be part of the celebration and immerse yourself in the many cultural offerings that will be part of the festival. The full program is still to come, but here's a taste of what's on show:

  • “It’s all about the bees”
    Brought to you from the Splinter Contemporary Group, seeds for bee-friendly plants will be provided to the community. Kids can decorate their seed bag and plant label to take home and plant the seeds. Instructions and information included.
  • Chinese Calligraphy
    For more than 3,000 years the distinctive Chinese calligraphy has offered the world a insight into Chinese culture, and an appreciation for their traditions and artistic practises. Come and try for yourself, with all the traditional materials that are still used today to create a piece of art of your own
  • Turkish Ebru Painting
    Traditional Turkish Ebru painting has been a long-used art form to create beautiful patterns, images and words in water that is then transferred onto the surfaces of materials. Originating in China, and then spreading across to to Iran and Turkey, this practise has been perfected techniques to create beautiful, one of a kind pieces using water and paint. Come and try for yourself!

Curated by Point of Difference Studio, Converge on the Goulburn brings an intricate music and dance performance program which will share the stories of our peoples and unite us together through song and dance.
