People have marked their bodies with tattoos for thousands of years. These permanent designs are sometimes plain, sometimes elaborate, always personal and have served as amulets, status symbols, declarations of love, signs of religious beliefs, adornments and even forms of punishment.

Renowned photographic artist Ray Cook and Somali–Australian Artist Susan Maco Forrester join local Tattoo Artist, Stefanie King and tattoo fanatasist Jim Gow to talk art, identity and representation.

Ray Cook is a Brisbane–based photographic artist with 28 years of exhibiting nationally and internationally.

Curated in consultation with students at the Youth Foyer Group.
