The National Dahlia Conference is in Shepparton this June. The theme is Blooming for the Future. We'll take a deep dive into the world of dahlias and explore sustainable gardening techniques. It's a must-attend event for all gardeners. Guest speakers include Millie Ross from ABC’s Gardening Australia.
From 21–23 June 2025, the Dahlia Society of Australia will hold its Annual Conference in Shepparton.
Many celebrity and expert speakers will be presenting at this year’s conference, including Keith Edwards, famous for his Muddy Waters podcast, and Nikki Davey from Grown Not Flown.
This year’s conference is not just for dahlia enthusiasts but also for gardeners of all levels on their gardening journey.
Topics will cover a range of sustainable gardening practices, including soil health, composting, insects and pests and micro-farming business principles, to name a few.
The conference runs over three days. There’ll be two days of speakers, a tuber auction, a gala dinner and, on the third day, an optional sightseeing tour. The tour will showcase the Shepparton area, ending with a paddle steamer cruise on the mighty Murray River.
