Amplify Creative Hub is back this August with free drop-in workshops, creative activities and more!

Create, connect and try something new at Amplify Creative Hub.

The August session will focus on music, giving participants the chance to try freestyle rap, music recording, a CD and vinyl swap, DIY crafts, board games and puzzles. Free pizza will also be available!

Designed for young people aged 12 to 25, Amplify Creative Hub is a safe and welcoming space to connect, learn new skills and explore creativity. Everyone is welcome to come along and no experience is needed.

The session will be held on Saturday 22 August 2026 from 12pm to 4pm at Shepparton Library. No experience is needed.

August Program

  • 12.15pm to 1.15pm: Freestyle Rap Workshop with Flash Poetry Nico
    Explore rhyme, rhythm, language and improvisation in a fun and beginner-friendly workshop.
  • 1.30pm to 3.30pm: Music Recording Workshop
    Learn how a song can move from an idea to a recording. Participants will create a cover of a song and record up to the first chorus while learning basic home recording, recording techniques and mixing. Participants taking part in the music recording workshop are encouraged to bring their own instrument, such as a guitar, bass or keyboard, and have some basic playing skills.

About Amplify Creative Hub

Delivered by Greater Shepparton City Council through its Amplify Youth Committee, with support from Goulburn Valley Libraries and the Victorian Government, Creative Hub is a safe and welcoming place to connect, learn new skills and explore your creativity.

Sessions run on the third Saturday of each month until November, with future themes including music, photography, digital arts, DJing, music production, multimedia and songwriting.

Upcoming sessions will be held on Saturday 22 August, Saturday 19 September, Saturday 17 October and Saturday 21 November 2026.
